Women's Hockey Coaching Community
Our Corner is a community dedicated to recruiting, supporting, and developing women coaches in hockey.
Hosted by the Vancouver Female Ice Hockey Association, Our Corner is open to women from all associations and backgrounds who are interested in coaching, learning, mentoring, or connecting with others behind the bench.
Whether you are an experienced coach, a current or former player, a hockey parent, or someone who has always been curious about coaching, there is a place for you here.
Our Mission
We believe that women belong behind the bench at every level of the game.
Our mission is to increase the number of women coaching in hockey by creating a welcoming community where women can build confidence, develop their coaching skills, learn from one another, and grow into leadership roles.
By supporting more women in coaching, we create better experiences for players today while building the next generation of hockey leaders.
Who Can Join?
Our Corner welcomes:
- Current women coaches
- Former players interested in coaching
- Current players looking to become Player Coaches or mentors
- Parents interested in getting involved
- Women considering coaching for the first time
- Women from any hockey association
You don't need coaching experience to join. If you're interested in learning more, we'd love to meet you.

New to Coaching?
Everyone starts somewhere.
Many great coaches begin by volunteering as an On-Ice Helper, assisting at practices, or mentoring younger players before taking on larger coaching roles.
If you're unsure where you fit, we'll help you find a role that matches your experience, interests, and availability. There is no expectation that you have all the answers before getting started. We'll support you as you learn and grow.
