Sandra Gans returning as U15 A Head Coach

VFIHA is pleased to announce that Sandra Gans is returning as U15 A Head Coach for the 2021-22 season.

“We are very happy to have Sandra back with the Angels in 2021-22,” said VFIHA Director of Coaching Jeff Smith. “Coach Sandra ran a strong program in her first year, an especially challenging first year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully next year Sandra’s team gets a chance to put her excellent skills development work to the test!”

“I am very excited to be coming back as the U15 A Head Coach for another season,” said Sandra. “While last year had its difficulties, it was great watching all my players improve tremendously during our practices. I can’t wait to coach some of you again this coming year and to hopefully finally get to play some games!”

Sandra grew up on the ice, starting her hockey career at the age of six playing on co-ed teams in Ontario. She moved on to play in female leagues, playing both house and rep hockey for the Toronto-based North York Storm, as well as co-captaining her school’s varsity women’s team. She continues to play today in Burnaby’s ASHL and has over six years of experience instructing skills and power skating classes.
