Respect in Sport - Parents

The Respect in Sport Parent Program (RIS) is an online training program for parents involved in sport. This one hour online certification program reinforces a parents role in a child or youth’s activities, encouraging positive behaviours and providing insight into the various roles other individuals (such as coaches and officials) play. This program empowers parents to ensure the safety of their children, encourage positive and effective communication, and to enhance a child’s fun within the activity.

To build a culture of respect in sport for this season and coming seasons, all parents are strongly encouraged to complete the Respect in Sport (Parents) before the beginning of the season (one certificate per family). For the 2025-2026 season, completion will be required (mandatory) as part of registration.
